You seen right, a denim
coat. A piece of blue perfection. Loving how the buttons down the center are hidden when buttoned to keep everything clean and sleek. Too bad Monki does not ship to Singapore, despite it coming down to around 100SGD, I would seriously consider spending some of my new year money on it, since I'm needing coats and all. It's not everyday you see a denim coat, not to mention one looking all neat and clinical almost, like someone dyed a lab coat blue. Am also wondering if anyone has tried wearing one of those, purely for aesthetic purposes, now that I think about it, might be a bad idea because people might actually think you are a doctor and get you to perform the Heimlich maneuver in a restaurant to the guy choking on his food like it happens in the movies. Oh well, I've always fancied the look of them.

Acne pistol boots are on the top of my list. Other then them being incredibly hard to get my hands on, they are completely out of my budget. Till I start working and earning money for myself, I really cannot be spending my parents' money on that. So starting from the cheapest pair on the list would do for now.
I think Converse sneakers speak for themselves, they just exude a really effortless coolness, especially when they are a little scuffed up. It's hard for me to find flat shoes I like and I have been wearing my chelsea boots to death, these sneakers shall be the solution for now. I am finding myself reaching for the pair of converse I do not own to complete my outfits recently. It's a sign for me to finally buy them I think. To say the truth, much of my inspiration (for the shoes and dressing really) comes from the very lovely Christine from fash-n-chips. Just the way I would wear them:

awesome two faced flat from Nicholas Kirkwood I chance upon just a few days ago, again, way out of my budget and not to mention sold out but, how perfect are they! Reminds me of a Picasso drawing.

These are some scans from their latest issue and I absolutely love the minimalistic feel that they were going for. Anyone knows where I can get my hands on it? I have always wanted to get a copy, but was never able to find it in the bookstores in Singapore. Will check out Kinokuniya and Basheer Graphic Books in the weekends.
By the way, I stumbled upon Basheer Graphic Books recently and it has become one of my favourite bookstore in Singapore. It sells absolutely fantastic books of all varieties and most of them are not sold anywhere else in Singapore. I always just spend my time in there marveling at the books and wishing I could buy everything. I managed to find so many fashion/ interior design/ illustration books on my wishlist and now it's just the matter of getting the money to purchase them. Oh well.. It's located at Bras Basah Complex, you should really check it out! It's an absolute dream.

I've always wanted to invest in some quality pj's but never got around to it. Mostly because it's always so hot here, it's better going to sleeping in an over-sized old t-shirt and shorts. These pj's from Pop-lin are incredibly lovely though, it would really make waking up every morning more exciting I think.

I am incredible picky when it comes to buying things which means I'll take a million years to find things that I really like. I've actually yet to own any sandals and bracelets which is insane because Singapore is so unbelievably hot and everyone pretty much wear sandals and flip-flops everywhere. I've been looking all over for these things but none makes me go "I need to have that!" But online.. that's a whole different story.

These bracelets are to die for and I really want them but they cost 70USD, which is pricey enough and when you add conversion rates and shipping fees, I wouldn't get to eat for the next month if I bought them.

I know, I know, these are sandals for males, but it's pretty much what I've been looking for. Flat sole and thick straps across, simple and very beautiful. I did find a similar pair from Charles and Keith (which was on sale!) but they didn't have my size. I was crushed. These are 350USD.
Cue sigh.

Yeah, that's basically it. Maybe it's because I've been staying the the hostel for the past 5 years, I really cannot wait to live all by myself. The folder in my laptop titled 'Interiors' is prove to that. And it's going to be so hard to find a job I love but I will never settle for anything less, how else am I going to earn lots of money before I'm 35 so I can open a cafe-library-cozy-nook-cheese shop thing? Today seemed to be a day for all things french, well everyday is for me. Speaking of which, I bought a Breton top yesterday, which made me very happy. Although I wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but the material felt so good on my skin and it fitted quite nicely. Uniqlo is becoming one of my favourite shops in Singapore. By the way, have you ever looked at J. Crew's clothes? It's among the list that includes Cos, Isabel Marant, A.P.C., Zara, Celine.. wonderful brands that I can't afford and lust after.Labels: Fashion, Wishlist

Basically what I hope my outfits to look like after I revamp my wardrobe (of course with more accessories ie. rings. I never leave my house unless I have at least two of those on my fingers). During one of my many travels into the web last year, searching about universities that offer liberal arts in america (yes, I am set on going there, I must!) I found out about NYU Global Liberal Studies and realised that it was exactly what I was looking for. In an effort to find something to motivate me to study hard for the rest of this year, I did a little research today. I have never felt this excited about something for a really long time. It's kind of like finding out that the book you have been waiting for will be released soon, or shopping and finding something that's worth more then the price you paid. Anyway, NYU GLS is really quite perfect and I really hope that I'll get to study there/ that. But it's so incredibly hard to get in because the classes are small and it's a relatively new program, so they don't really accept many students. Those who got in are crazy clever people (from what I gather through the net).

After 11 years under the thumb of a former Merrill Lynch broker who was docked for insider trading, the Manhattan townhouse made famous by the iconic Audrey Hepburn flick Breakfast at Tiffany's has again come up for sale. Listed for $5.85M, the 15-foot-wide Upper East Side house served as the backdrop for the exterior shots, but, disappointingly, it seems most of the interiors were shot on a sound stage. Regardless, it is incredibly gorgeous and who wouldn't want to own (and live in) such a incredible piece of cinematic history? Ahhh if only I have $6 million to spare. Hah!
