You seen right, a denim
coat. A piece of blue perfection. Loving how the buttons down the center are hidden when buttoned to keep everything clean and sleek. Too bad Monki does not ship to Singapore, despite it coming down to around 100SGD, I would seriously consider spending some of my new year money on it, since I'm needing coats and all. It's not everyday you see a denim coat, not to mention one looking all neat and clinical almost, like someone dyed a lab coat blue. Am also wondering if anyone has tried wearing one of those, purely for aesthetic purposes, now that I think about it, might be a bad idea because people might actually think you are a doctor and get you to perform the Heimlich maneuver in a restaurant to the guy choking on his food like it happens in the movies. Oh well, I've always fancied the look of them.

Acne pistol boots are on the top of my list. Other then them being incredibly hard to get my hands on, they are completely out of my budget. Till I start working and earning money for myself, I really cannot be spending my parents' money on that. So starting from the cheapest pair on the list would do for now.
I think Converse sneakers speak for themselves, they just exude a really effortless coolness, especially when they are a little scuffed up. It's hard for me to find flat shoes I like and I have been wearing my chelsea boots to death, these sneakers shall be the solution for now. I am finding myself reaching for the pair of converse I do not own to complete my outfits recently. It's a sign for me to finally buy them I think. To say the truth, much of my inspiration (for the shoes and dressing really) comes from the very lovely Christine from fash-n-chips. Just the way I would wear them:

awesome two faced flat from Nicholas Kirkwood I chance upon just a few days ago, again, way out of my budget and not to mention sold out but, how perfect are they! Reminds me of a Picasso drawing.

Who knew there was so much to be done for one application! It is such a pain to think I'd have to re-apply every year. Times when I see design that inspires me in someway, whether fashion, interior design, product design anything, it makes me so frustrated that I'm not better with words and not more knowledgeable about the designer, the brand, their vision etc. Because I cannot properly express myself here and put what I see to justice. More things I'll have to put more effort in. For now I guess your eyes would do, and hopefully whatever I put on this blog that you see makes you feel like I do.
But that aside, clean silhouettes, the sporty element, graphic lines and that leather jacket, urgh I'm still drooling and it's has been almost a week since I laid eyes on these photos.Labels: Fashion, Inspiration

You should definitely check out The Golden Diamonds.
I remember coming across her blog last year, and for some reason did not bookmark it. But I chanced upon it again recently and I'm hooked. Her style is so much more polished and (for the lack of a better word) classy. Even when she's wearing loud prints, it never even looks over the top. And I never thought anyone could look classy in ripped jeans. These are just some of my favourites:

Prada Marfa is a permanently installed sculpture by artists Elmgreen and Dragset, situated about 60 km northwest of the city of Marfa. Resembling a Prada store, the installation's door is nonfunctional. These are some scans from their latest issue and I absolutely love the minimalistic feel that they were going for. Anyone knows where I can get my hands on it? I have always wanted to get a copy, but was never able to find it in the bookstores in Singapore. Will check out Kinokuniya and Basheer Graphic Books in the weekends.
By the way, I stumbled upon Basheer Graphic Books recently and it has become one of my favourite bookstore in Singapore. It sells absolutely fantastic books of all varieties and most of them are not sold anywhere else in Singapore. I always just spend my time in there marveling at the books and wishing I could buy everything. I managed to find so many fashion/ interior design/ illustration books on my wishlist and now it's just the matter of getting the money to purchase them. Oh well.. It's located at Bras Basah Complex, you should really check it out! It's an absolute dream.
