So after 5 years.. I'm going to start drawing again. This is probably not the best time to start doing this, with the heavy workload from school and all but I think it'll be good for me. It started yesterday when I was doodling on my notes for the millionth time during lessons instead of paying attention (haha opps), my friend shook his head and tsk-ed me at the end of the period and I realised that I couldn't help it, it's instinctive for me to draw whenever. And I realised that it's better to 'come to peace' with the fact that I'll never be able to study/ do anything that is artistic in nature, but even so, I should never give it up. It brings me pleasure like music and books do. I would really like to improve in my skill even if it is purely as a hobby. Although after 5 years of not drawing seriously, I probably won't be able to draw/ paint as well as when I was 13, the drawings would probably be terrible. Let's see how it goes.

I have this black leather bound notebook that I use to clip in articles and writings that are inspiring (eg. Secrets of French Girls by Ellen Wallace), those blank pages need to be filled in, I'm gonna start carrying it around with me, along with my set of softlead pencils. Just need to stop thinking that I'll ruin it, it's so pretty!

“Every one of us is losing something precious to us… Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back again. That’s what part of it means to be alive. But inside our heads- at least that’s where I imagine it- there’s a litle room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in a while, let fresh air in, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you’ll live for ever in your own private library.”
- Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore

Comfortable - John Mayer

This wonderful song has been on repeat the past few days, the lyrics are really nice. I will always be a fan of John Mayer.

Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron and Wine

I don't know how I would survive without music. It has helped me through so many hard times, when I'm depressed, stressed and just feeling uninspired. Anyway, here's a song that has been on repeat recently especially when I'm feeling unbelievably tired and just want to sleep and forget about everything. Just something to make getting through each day a little easier.

Words cannot describe what I feel watching and listening to this. Jazzy Beatles? The chemistry between both of them (haha yes they are a couple)? Oh, be still my heart. If only I can song and have a musician boyfriend, we'll sing sexy songs together like this everyday #thingsthatwillneverhappen

Frank Sinatra - I’ve Got a Crush On You

How glad the many millions of Annabelles and Lillians
Would be to capture me
But you had such persistence, you wore down my resistance
I fell and it was swell

I'm your big and brave and handsome Romeo
How I won you I shall never never know
It's not that you're attractive
But, oh, my heart grew active
When you came into view

I've got a crush on you, sweetie pie
All the day and night-time give me sigh
I never had the least notion that
I could fall with so much emotion

Could you coo, could you care
For a cunning cottage we could share
The world will pardon my mush
'Cause I have got a crush on you

Could you coo, could you care
For a cunning cottage
That we could share
The world will pardon my mush
'Cause I have got a crush, my baby, on you

Some slow lovely jazz for this rainy Wednesday. Did you know that this version was recorded on my birthday? Well, not the same year but on 5th Nov. Talking about my birthday, it's coming. I'm actually more excited for November really. It's my favourite month, I just had really great memories about November. Holidays always started in November, that means no school and I'd go overseas with my family where it'll be winter with lots of good food. It always rained more in November. November means Christmas is coming. November is both chilly and warm, relaxing and just more wonderful.

He is seriously underrated. Just saying. If you liked that, you should listen to Vital Signs and Drunk Dial by him :-) And can I just fan-girl for a while here: HE IS SO CUTE! Hahaha when he went "Yeah, food and then.. music." I just grinned. By the way, bangers and mash is the english term for sausages and mashed potato. I was so confused at first.

Now you also know, I like watching people cooking on youtube. Sortedfood is really a wonderful channel, everytime I want to take a break from school work, I'll go to that channel, I'm pretty sure I've watched all of the videos there.
